Stundar is a proudly South African educational website for aspiring and Independent creatives in the recording industry.
The website was created to provide how-to articles, tools, and resources in order to bridge the knowledge gap in the industry.
The founders and contributors have a wealth of knowledge and practical experience in Internet marketing, digital music distribution and business.
Why the name Stundar?
The name Stundar is derived from two words, namely underground and star.
When you are just starting out or are in the early days of your career, you are literally “underground” because that is the stage when you are literally trying to build a name for yourself and reputation.
But in the back of your mind, you know that if you do get it right, then someday you will turn out to be the star.
In a musical or recording context, everyone starts out in the underground scene. Maybe you want to start recording your own songs, voice-overs for broadcasting, podcasting, etc.
It doesn’t matter what you want to do but you have to start somewhere with something and hopefully, someday you will be the star!
