Nkosinathi Samkelisiwe Zikalala, better known by his stage name Mshini originates from Soweto, Emndeni. Mshini started rapping in 2011, having been influenced by his late cousin who was a Hip Hop Artist.
In 2014, Mshini dropped a Mixtape titled ‘Afterschool’ and a cover song originally by Cassper Nyovest titled ‘Gusheshe’ which propelled him into working with Zulu Boy and sharing stages with the likes of AKA, PRO Kid, Zakwe to name a few.
In 2015, Mshini became a household name on one of South Africa’s biggest radio station, Ukhozi FM after securing a couple of interviews and winning numerous rap battles. In 2016, two singles from his Mixtape debuted at number one on the upcoming artists’ charts.
Mshini is currently promoting his latest two-track E.P titled: Life of a Groovist which is a variation of slow-tempo, amapiano/kwaito sound.
The EP promo is accessible on Youtube and Audiomack but will be only available on other major distribution platforms from 23 November 2022.

This EP is on point, I like how it has a story from the first skit to the last track I think it’s Phelamandla (which is my favorite). It also gives piano vibes but at the same time with a slow tempo but makes me wanna vibe hard to it.
